Close Encounter of The Same Kind

Well, for the title, I don't mean to say that finally I meet those nerdies and geekers, but I meet my ex-colleagues, or should I say, not all my colleagues, but also my seniors. We were all GEMA crews (teenage column in BERNAS, eliminated in recent issues), and at that time, I was the youngest (1st grade of Junior High, and most of my partners were at least 1st grade of Senior High!!! '^_^).
This woman, whom I met recently, was one of my senior, and a die hard journalist at that time. Her name is Femi. Fr. Femi Adi something....... And I found out that she was in the writing career right now, being a true journalist.
This made me think, that, hey, GEMA was really precious (though we worked without any single penny given, labouring all week, trapped by deadline, and no salary........). It really taught us, how to write. We learnt to write through experiences (well, that's the best teacher though!). And what has happened to us?
Other than Femi, I found that our senior (can be said, the pioneer), Kristupa W. Saragih (some may have heard his name) has found success, started from being Hai Magazine contributor (he was the first of us to step forward into national publisher), and now becoming a famous national photographer, or even international.
AA Kunto A (the pioneer of Sanggar Talenta), once worked in Kanisius, routinly sent his writing to Kompas, the worked in BASIS, and now becoming journalist in MARKETING magazine. FAmous also!
Punto Wijayanto, I forgot his achievement, but I'm sure have heard of it somewhere.
The Others? Well, Iip was my senior both in GEMA and Persada (my High School Magazine), Erita C.B., heard of you somewhere..........
Yeah, myself, soon will publish 2 novels. So, what a way GEMA has changed us! (If you'd like to know, my reason for joining GEMA was to publish my own name in Newspaper. That time, I think it's COOL! What a lame reason!!)
Guys, glad to have chance to know you all! Hope our success and career will keep growing like we all wished!
